The RECREA(C)TION exhibition is a result of the ongoing research in cross-art forms between dance and visual art conducted by Adeline Bourret. The show gathers artists whom Adeline discovered during her investigations: some local to Scotland, others from further afield such as Paris and Italy.
RECREA(C)TIONbrings together artists and performers working within the fields of movement, dance and visual art. Ranging a span of various art forms including photography, drawing, video, installation, computer technology and street interventions, this exhibition explores innovative ways of producing interdisciplinary work via a dynamic and playful use of the body.
The show will feature works from Adeline Bourret, Riccardo Attanasio, Kate E Deeming, Laura Gill, Jessica Kirkpatrick, Ailsa Lochhead, Sophia Lycouris andAureline Roy.
On the Stage of the Present, a group led by Tom Pritchard and supported by Dance Base, Dance House and The Arches will be showing works produced by collaborators during various dance performance improvisations.
During the Preview event, Recent Dance Base collaborators Skye Reynolds and Jung In Jung, together with invited dancers, will present ‘Transmission’, an interactive dance installation using innovative sound technology.
