"just doing the washing up while waiting for the subconscious to do its stuff" seems quite pertinent. I feel we are, as a society, going through a tsunami of change. My work has been about painting my way through this while finding a way to be! Finding a piece of higher ground to stand on while surveying the massive change and working out how to move on?

Evie Prescott

I tend to paint things that strike me, through painting I hope to find the reason why; to disentangle its associations and enter the mood of the image.
