Gaynor Boggon - Invisible Cities

19 March - 03 April

Intrigued by their commanding structures and temporary state, constructions sites have been at the core of my investigative process for some time. Taking inspiration from the book “Invisible Cities” by Italo Calvino, this show is a collection of drawing, painting and photography which aim to deconstruct areas of regeneration within a city and create narratives through expressing constant change and development, while looking formally at exploring line and surface and playing with perspectives. As well as looking at such sites as spaces and scenes, I am also interested in looking at these industrial spaces as forms of narrative, created by time and human presence, telling a story of a past, present and a future.
