art's complex has been providing gallery and studio space to upcoming artists in Edinburgh since 2008.
We now have over 300 resident artists, 3 main galleries as well as a wide range of other facilities useful to artists.
We have three main galleries which regularly display the work of upcoming artists from Edinburgh and abroad.
Our residents cover a very large spectrum of art practice. This spectrum includes; the visual arts, music, digital arts, performing arts and even martial arts.
The vast size of St. Margaret's House means that we can offer a wide range of facilities to our residents and visitors.
These range from technical facilities - like our darkroom, kiln room & printmaking workshop - to the more organic, theatre rehearsal /life-drawing studios.

At present, art’s complex has 3 galleries for the public showing of artwork. The three galleries are of various sizes in order to complement one another and to accommodate work of varying magnitudes.

We are located on the east end of London Road. Many bus routes make for convenient travel. Free parking is also easily found nearby.
